Last time I talked about art technology for newswriting and Pinion Instagram page. Various kinds of apps and websites can make every photo a delicate work of art.

However, without the photo itself, there can be nothing for us to edit. So do story ideas. I have encountered problems like I don’t know what to post on Instagram or confused about what story to write.

I think the solution to these problems is just like what the title said: Catch every moment!

For example, in my business class, my teacher shared a video called “The Perfect Moment” which was about life. I thought it was so great and then I shared it on Pinion instagram page and also tweeted it. On that same day at period 5 near W building, the sound of mowing was too noisy for teachers to have their normal classes. It was also a good time to take a picture and “tell the truth”.

Maybe your friends are talking about the temperature in the classroom, why they don’t like some teachers, or what movie they have watched recently. These can all be good ideas in journalism. School activities and schedules are reported in daily bulletin. Our staffers exchange different ideas on Trello. There exist many opportunities, only waiting for us to find them!

A journalist should be able to find minor but precious ideas. No matter for photos or story ideas, we can always find something if we pay attention to the moments in our lives.
