Early homework makes better students

Students need sleep

Egan Mederios, Reporter

Teens should be doing their homework earlier so they can get enough sleep for the next day. Students don’t get enough sleep at night because they are up all night doing their homework. Students should be doing their homework in 20/20 or stay after school to do it so they can get enough sleep at night. Every night teens should at least be getting 8 to 10 hours of sleep. Only 15 percent Teenagers report that they get 8 hours of sleep. Some teenagers are doing sports such as football, basketball, or soccer, this shouldn’t be a excuse because teenagers should use their time wisely instead of playing games or using their phone. Some sports have study hall which is when student athletes can be doing their homework. If it was a project than students should take the day off instead of going to the practice because grades are more important. Also, in order for student athletes to play in a sport they have to have good grades to participate. Students should get more sleep instead of playing games or using their phones and do their homework more earlier because the average hours for a teen is at least 8 to 10 hours of sleep.
