A good newspaper needs popularity and people’s attention.

A story should be concise. It also needs to contain proximity, impact and timeliness to catch readers’ attention. Personally, I like to write stories related to students’ daily lives. It will make me feel more passionate about the story and thus produce better articles.

There are other ways to gain popularity such as using social media. Twitter, Instagram and Facebook are good platforms to post information about the newspaper.

Many sports articles were on the first issue in 2014-2015 school year. I am so glad to see some football players sign their names and hold up the paper during lunch in the cafeteria. They are proud of being mentioned or their pictures are on the paper. I believe if more students are in the paper, more people will want to read it.
