Polls are not a new thing to me but this quarter, I had to do them more often. Students from Newswriting 1 and 2 have been assigned to make a poll. Every poll that has been created would then go to me and I will have to put it on the website.

I originally thought that it was not a complicated thing but after experiencing it, I now know that it is. Since the polls will only be up for a certain amount of time, timeliness is super important. There were times when polls involved activities that take place after the allowed amount of time. A poll about Winter break will not be relevant before Thanksgiving.

Overall, this experience has shown me the importance of communication because I had to double check with students and the due dates before adding the poll.
