What it’s like to be 15
The hardest thing about being #15Girls
November 24, 2015
Girls around the world have their own opinion about what is difficult about being 15. They could have many reasons why it is difficult. National Public Radio wrote articles about being 15. They have many more answers there if you want to learn more.

Anissa Ortiz is a freshman at McKinley High School. One reason she hates about being 15 is that she has her periods. Also, Ortiz said feels she needs to live up to adult standards each year.

English teacher Megan Serrao said she hated 15 because she couldn’t drive. Serrao also said she hated waking up every morning for school.

Gloria Kim is a senior in McKinley High School. She is 18 years old, and she hated nothing about being 15. Instead she had to wait only one more year to get her driver’s license and be able to go places with her friends.

For me being fifteen is considered being a kid. The word fifteen means teenager because of the word “Teen”. From ages 13 to 19 you’re still a teenager. Being fifteen can be difficult sometimes. For example as you grow older, you’ll have more responsibilities than you will ever expect. Plus fifteen also means taking charge of your own life. At the age of thirteen, that’s when you’ll make decisions on your own. Life’s not easy, especially when you grow older. In fact life was never easy even when you were still a baby. Learning how to walk, talk, etc. Life’s never easy for anyone, not even for a baby.
