I Am A River

I am a river I flow through all obstacles The vast ocean represents my goals To reach the ocean is my challenge There are many obstacles in my way Some are large, some are small For tiny petty pebbles, I easily stream through When I reach bulky boulders, the fun begins I become a raging river A force that is unstoppable When raging, I bolt into the barrier head on And spurt right through it Then I continue to flow I haven’€™t reached the ocean yet There are still lots of obstructions in my path Some are large, some are small I will always find my way around or through The ocean seems so close I believe I will get there soon All my goals would have been completed And then I will be at peace

I’m still a caterpillar taking a long time to become a butterfly There’€™s that feeling of wanting to But there’s no action in it Dreaming of the glorious days being a butterfly Bam!
