Taste Tea is a small tea shop along Kapiolani Boulevard which sells an assortment of teas and coffees. Although it is small with a limited space for customers to sit down and enjoy their purchase, the drinks and pastries they offer completely make up for it. With good customer service and air conditioning which, also is a major plus during this hot, humid weather, Taste Tea would be one of my go-to places to buy tea. Taste Tea also has many perks which help customers like me have a better time there.

One of the biggest perks for this place would be their free wi-fi. In this modern age of information, Wi-fi is  must in most places and being that Taste tea can provide that anyone can come in, buy a drink and enjoy their drink and some Wi-fi. The drink I would recommend for newcomers would be their milk tea. When you decide on what drink you want they give you a choice of what sweetness and what you would like in your drink. The choices of how sweet you want your drink can also vary from just a regular to a very sweet. I personally like all my drinks as extra sweet. In conclusion Tate tea is a great place for groups, kids or maybe you just need some alone time with a calming scene and one of their many selections of drinks. Either way this place will leave you wanting more.

I have always been fond of bubble tea drinks. As a newcomer to Hawaii this year, it has been a challenge to find a satisfying tea shop.

I have passed Taste Tea while driving on Kapiolani Boulevard, but I’ve never had the opportunity to try it until I went with The Pinion staff.

The outside appearance is not the most appealing with the bright green logo being the most prominent feature on otherwise the plain walls, but as you step inside the aroma is fresh and the sound of reggae music is comforting.

The menu has a vast variety from a classic milk tea to a mustache milk tea. The mustache milk tea was creamy and somewhat frothy, but it still had that pure tea flavor. It almost resembled a milkshake but contained a modern twist with chewy grass jelly. The grass jelly can be substituted with other toppings such as small or large tapioca.

The variety may cause indecisiveness and curiosity, but the place offers samples at the register. I have never had the opportunity to sample bubble tea previously, but when I came here it made my decision fairly easy.

I would recommend trying the green tea blueberry macaroon. The flavor is unique with a crisp shell, soft texture, and smooth, rich cream.

The atmosphere at Taste Tea was warm and welcoming along with the employees. I was pleasantly surprised that they actually spelled my name correctly, unlike Starbucks.

The Ice Cream Milk Tea was just as I requested. The ice cream melted into the tea, creating a creamy fog hovering just over the cool, herbaceous liquid. When the tea came to be leveled farther down the cup, the unmelted ice cream and boba mixed to create a fortifying texture and taste. the drink leaves no one to wonder why it’s a Taste Tea Inc specialty.

Milk or tea? Why not both? Taste Tea is located on Kapiolani boulevard and visited by many. Teens, tourists, families, and adults. The Pinion crew took a trip to Taste Tea to have a few sips of their famous “ Bubble Tea “ which is milk tea, with small or big tapioca bubbles.

When first entering the cafe, the sweet aroma filled up my sense of smell. It was  air conditioned and very comfortable to be in. There was  also wifi upon request that I gladly used.  The first thing that caught my eyes was the colorful menu. There were many flavors for the milk tea. Chocolate, Honeydew, Strawberry ,(etc). There were also toppings such as tapioca and grass jelly. On the bottom of the registrar there were a selection of macaroons, cakes , cheesecakes, and things to go with your tea to choose from. When I ordered, I discovered that I could also play around with the sweetness of your drink, so it wasn’t too sweet, or if you wanted it extra sweet.

I ended up ordering a large chocolate milk tea with mini tapioca bubbles. The service was good, and the price was reasonable to me. The total came out to about four dollars, for a good size drink. It came out fast and cold. The texture of the tapioca was chewy and it tasted very fresh and natural. The chocolate milk tea was a good half sweet, just like I ordered it. I also had a taste of their strawberry macaroon. For me not being a macaroon person and them not being a macaroon shop, It was very good and it melted in my mouth.

Overall, I would definitely go again. To hang out with friends, or just to do homework Taste Tea would be the appropriate place to go because of how comfortable the experience was. On any hot day I would stop by for a large, refreshing cup of milk tea to soothe my craving.

The moment we went in the tea shop, the view in the shop was unique.  Inside the shop there was grey tables, grey chairs in order, and people.  We all ordered our own tea.  The view of my chocolate milk tea was delightful and sweet.  It was just sitting there waiting to be sipped like awesomeness about to explode.  One sip and it taste like sugar was dancing in my tongue. It felt like a bunch of rainbows entered though my mouth.  The smell of the sweet tea was smooth and mouth watering. Drinking it made me feel awake for a few seconds and woke up from an amazing dream.

My class and I went to a tea shop two weeks ago. It was small but comfortable. I ordered a chocolate milk tea with small tapioca. That tea smelt sweet like a cake. It tasted like sugar but just a bit sweeter. The tapioca sat at the bottom of the cup and the ice cubes were floating. The cup was very simple but beautiful. When I held it in my hand it felt a little bit cold. All of that made this a good tea shop.
