Lien starts out fresh

Ariana Makasiale, reporter

Like most, when registration came around last year, Annie Lien didn’€™t really know what to take. However, after a friend mentioned newswriting, she decided to give it a shot. With Mrs. Reves as her previous English teacher, she knew she wouldn’€™t have to worry about first day jitters. With her love of writing stories, especially with her sister, she believed this class could help her with her writing skills and people skills (since she intends on going into the medical field.) Although this class peaked her interest, it wasn’€™t without a few doubts. Afraid that the work load might be too, heavy or thinking of new ideas might be rough, she often worried about her choice. Lien said that although she was scared she believed that she could do it if she worked hard. Lien says that qualities she can contribute to the paper include, being respectful, responsible, and able to work well with others. She also really enjoys drawing. Lien is eager for what she can contribute to the New Year!
