A respectful and responsible student, Ariana Makasiale, decided to take part in McKinley’s school newspaper staff this year. Due to band, Makasiale has never had a chance to choose her own electives until last school year. When the opportunity came up, she had no idea what class she wanted to be in. After speaking with a substitute teacher, she decided to join the Pinion. She started reading at an early age, and in kindergarten, she would get pulled to the side by her teacher to write. Makasiale says she signed up for the elective, because she likes to write, take pictures, and she thinks that she wants to major in english in the future. As a preparation for the class, she took honors english. Talking to strangers and finishing assignments on time somewhat worries her. However, she looks forward to the class.
