The best software for building a header graphic is PhotoShop.  A header graphic should be sized 100px tall (you can make it taller than this if you wish). There are four different widths, for four different platforms.

If you want the colored gradient background of your header to show through your new header image, create your header with a transparent background and save it as a .png file.

If you want to create a colored background in PhotoShop, just save the file as a .jpg.

Be sure to use PhotoShop’s Save for Web option for your new header — this will help ensure that your site always loads quickly.

2. Colors. Any colors should somehow relate to our school, but they do not have to match the colors currently on mhspinion.com.  If we choose your design, we can adjust our page colors to match.
