Chanel Alarca (10) has had a passion for writing ever since she worked for her middle school newspaper in the seventh grade. With no regrets, she chose to register in McKinley high school’s Newswriting course, after reminiscing about the great experiences she had when writing for her middle school’s newspaper. Although Alarca has had a lot of preparation in writing, prior experience working for newspapers, and is easy to talk to, she fears at times that her job will be overwhelming with deadlines and the thought of putting everything together. Even with these fears, however, Alarca is going to try her best and put all her effort in when writing for the Pinion to make it the best it can be.
