The Welcome Back Assembly was supposed to be held on August 8 but because of storm Iselle, it was rescheduled to be on August 14.

This year, the assembly featured speeches, the JROTC color guard, music by the band, a dance from the Dance Club, cheerleading routines and the class game.

Freshman KC Guittu said that it was a good assembly. He liked the dance the most.

“I really like to dance so I liked the dance. The performance was great,” Guittu said.

He also said that the class game was fun to watch.

Senior Emily Phan said that it was a good way to kickstart the year even when the storm caused it to be rescheduled. She enjoyed the dance club’s performance and principal Ron Okamura’s address to the seniors.

It made her think about how three years have “flown by.”

Phan wants “the underclassmen to enjoy everything [high school has to offer] before they graduate.”
