Individual sports still require team communication

“You must have good sportsmanship and be able to support each other,” freshman Henry Trinh said.

Trinh said an individual sport such as cross country still requires good communication with team members to become a better athlete.

Cross country runners cannot receive any help when they run. Athletes in individual sports must have the self-assurance that they will be able to do their best for the team throughout the competition.

However, other members cheer in the stands to give encouragement and, during practice, help is given when needed.

Individual sports can deliver the same support that team sports do. The relationship built through individual sports within team members is just as determining and spirited as team sports.
