And the teachers made the sweetest and most hilarious parody of Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off” video.

During the commencement ceremony, the seniors got the chance to thank their teachers, friends and family. They also, after years of waiting, had the honor of walking across the oval. Throughout this event the seniors performed “Today My Life Begins” and “Lean On Me.” Both songs were sung at graduation and the assembly. Seniors Yueqing Lin, Mahealani Wilson and Dayonara Gaoteote gave speeches about the past, present and future.

“After four years of hard work and perseverance, through a countless number of  obstacles, we can finally freeze this moment in time, embrace this moment of content, breathe a sigh of relief and well finally walk across the oval…,” said Lin when giving her speech.

In her speech Lin talked a lot about how the past four years were full of memories.

“I imagined we would all be laughing and joking around about how thankful we are to be finally done with school but in the back of our minds we would be thinking about how much we are going to miss everyone and everything we never thought we would…,” Wilson said during her speech.

“We are young, with so many opportunities ahead of us, so many chances to take, so many adventures to explore and each with so much potential that we must believe in ourselves. Believe that you can do the best, believe that you can be the best.,” Gaoteote said when talking about the future.
