My name is Anelalani, Anela for short. This is my third year of newswriting and my second as editor in chief of The Pinion. Last year, one of my news articles won second place in state for public schools. I have also been accepted into Quill and Scroll, an international society for high school journalists. Newswriting is a passion of mine because I love how much of an impact someone can make just by writing. I have many interests that range from Judo to Book Club. I'm really looking forward to this year of newswriting, as it is my senior year, I couldn't think of a better way to show my pride for McKinley. I remember how excited I was for this class my freshman year. This class has opened my eyes to whole new world that I didn't think I'd ever be interested in. I have truly treasured my time here as a member of The Pinion staff.
