The 7-11 on Pi’ikoi St. is usually organized and simple to shop-in. The parking is spacious and widely available, yet it can get crowded after 1:15-2:30 because of school dismissal.
This store is often well stocked with snacks and everyday on-the-go essentials. It also offers popular beverages like coffee, slurpies, as well as fizzy drinks like Pepsi and, my personal favorite, Sprite. Hot food items are also regularly available, like the musubis and bentos.
This location provides about 14 gas pumps, and 4 offer diesel. Employees at this location are often helpful and friendly, allowing everyone to enjoy themselves and relax while shopping. This is a suitable environment, especially for students who need a quick breakfast or have just finished school and want to grab something and quickly leave.
This store in my opinion is the best because it is close to McKinley and Ka’ahumanu. This is very convenient for high school students who have little siblings.
On the other hand, the 7-11 on Kalakaua Ave is quite the opposite. In my experiences, there may be a pungent smell and a not very well-kept environment.
The parking lot is very limited and compact, due to the space especially during peak hours like before and after school from 1:15-2:30, making maneuvering difficult. While parking is difficult yet manageable, the inside does not reflect it. The shopping experience can be enjoyed just like other 7-11s.
This location is relatively well-stocked and tidy. This store often offers everything the 7-11 on Pi’ikoi with a couple of exceptions like the 7-11 ice cream sandwiches.
They do offer coffee, Slurpees, and all other beverages. This 7-11 only has 2 gas pumps, and unlike Pi’ikoi, they do not offer diesel. Employees at this location may also vary on time of day, but in my experience, they tend to be quite snappy, like crumpling your receipt before offering it to you. Nonetheless, this is a good place to shop for quick eats like breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Overall, 7-11 is a reliable, available, and affordable convenience store, but the quality you can experience depends on location. While this store chain offers consistency in products, cleanliness, organization and customer service can vary widely. Putting aside these differences, 7-11 remains a popular consumer choice because of its accessibility and convenience across diverse backgrounds.
