Hi there my guy, gals and non-binary pals, I’m Cheska Orias, ’26. I love all things art related which includes drawing, painting, crafting, writing, music and photography! Other than that I also enjoy side questing and doing random tasks to help my friends or peers! When it comes to coverage my speciality includes mental health issues, school actives and photography of school events. As this is my last year on The Pinion I hope to make it count while also training the current staff, so they one can take the mantel of Editor-in-Chief next year.
Besides journalism, I’m always drawing, writing fantasy and sci-fi stories and cosplaying. Whatever job profession I decide to do, I will always be doing these on the side as it brings me lots of joy to do!
Besides my personal email you can contact me with my school email [email protected] if you have any article ideas for me to write or just want to ask my questions about my articles!
*I do not consent for any of my published works [articles, art, pictures, etc…] to be fed/used in AI whats so ever

Hi my name Kena MJ Anien c/o 27 , im a junior in my second year of the pinion . some of my favorite hobbies are playing volleyball , listening to music while drawing but I also love to read books . my goal this year is to write amazing sports articles that could award me best of SNO and to take more photos so I can improve my photography skills .
Hi! My name is Keilana Yandall, Class of 2029. I grew up in Honolulu with a passion for playing sports and being in the kitchen. I enjoy playing a wide variety of sports, from volleyball to basketball to football. One cool fact about me is that, once, when I was in elementary school, I dyed my hair three colors at once. I used the colors pink, purple and blue.
I didn’t sign up to be in Newswriting. In fact, I didn’t know what to expect when I first came to the class. However, being in Newswriting made me realize the amount of work and time journalists put into their work. I also see myself improving my writing. Whether it’s my punctuation and grammar, this class has helped me in many ways, and I do enjoy being in it. I was able to meet new people who help me every day. This class also helped me work on time management and communication. I do plan on staying in Newswriting, using the knowledge my classmates and Mrs. Reves teaches me to become a better writer and produce articles for The Pinion.
Hello, my name is Jacky Oasay and this is my 3rd year in The Pinion! I’m part of the Editorial Board this year as a co-copy editor and manager of fun. Last year, I helped integrate the new students with returning students, creating a welcoming and harmonious workplace.
Along with The Pinion, I am involved in Band, CTL, and Ignition. I am also part of the JDay student planning committee, alongside two other student journalists. I hope my involvement in school will be shown through my articles. This year, my goal is to search out stories pertaining to student interest around the school. I hope to interview you during my time here!
