Hello! My name is Malia Manuel, class of 2025. This is my first year working as a reporter for the Pinion in News Writing. Some cool facts about me are that I have already gotten some writings of mine published, and I’ve been involved in many very memorable protests and actions in the past 11 years. During my sophomore year, I had the idea to start a political activism club and a teacher by the name of Laverne Moore was very interested in the idea. I joined this class because I am a very firm believer in exposing the truth about important things in people’s lives, and I thought it would help me hone in on some of those writing skills.
