Student voices opinion on the dress code

Jamie Dela Cruz, guest writer

I think our dress code is becoming a big problem. It’s like when we were  little tykes we used to wear our suspenders, tucking our shirts in our pants and all, but now, look at us going out in the world as individuals wearing shirts with profanity, inappropriate and malicious what nots. In school, this has become such a problem especially in a high school where we don’t wear uniforms. Students wear what they want to wear just to show off. Well, that bothers me.

People think they can just wear what they feel comfortable with. Well okay I  kind of understand. But wearing shirts with profanity, nudity and some other stuff that’s inappropriate  easily distracts or bothers others. To be honest, me, I think that’s something I would avoid if I were your friend trying to act cool. How teenagers dress reflects on how other people see them.

Dress codes in school can affect the students learning. The dress code needs to change Because what we wear reflects on the school itself.
