Mariel was in Waikiki with her friends for trick or treating. She was ditched by her friends and got lost.

An old lady came to her and gave her a couple of candies. One had a wrapper with the word “trick” on it.

When Mariel came home, she opened the candy. As she ate the candy, she became drowsy. She fell asleep and woke up feeling very tired. Mariel went to the bathroom and was shocked. She couldn’t realize what was reality.

Mariel had become a boy.

Mariel ran out of the bathroom and searched for the old woman who gave her the candy.

While looking, her friends passed by, not realizing who Mariel was. Mariel’s voice was too low. She was horrified.

While Mariel walked home, hopelessly organizing her thoughts, she played with her pockets. When she arrived at her house, there was something in one of her pockets. It was the other candy. It had the word “treat” on the wrapper.

Mariel immediately ate the candy and fell asleep on her bed. When Mariel woke up, she ran to her bathroom. She was a girl again.

Despite her experience, Mariel was still confused. Her head was still trying to decide whether everything was a dream or was real.
