The best gift I ever received was a DS when I was in 6th grade. I had always wanted to have a DS because the rest of my friends had them. I always had to borrow their DS’s to play with them.

When I was in elementary school, I always wanted to have friends but I was too shy to talk to other people. Games had always kept me entertained when I was with my brothers. Eventually our PS1 started to become boring so we practically had nothing else to do.

Eventually I started making friends. It wasn’t because I came to them; it was because they came to me! It was because I had unique hair. As I progressed through sixth grade in middle school, I had tons of friends!

When Easter came along my friend gave me a present. He said to open it at home so I tried to wait. However, I was curious so I opened his present in class. When I peered inside, it was a DS. It was one of the things I had always wanted! I started to play around with it but it was taken away by my teacher. I eventually got it back.

I will never forget that day, the first present I’ve ever received from someone else.
