My name is An Vo, and I’m a freshman reporter for The Pinion. During my free time, I usually practice the flute to better myself as a musician in the McKinley Band. I also like to browse through the library to read and admire other authors’ stories whenever my schedule isn’t chaotic. I want to perform my best on writing articles for The Pinion about topics that I find interesting. The reason to why I took the Newswriting elective is because this class isn’t focused on contemplating information on a blank piece of paper only for administration to read or for peer editing purposes. It allows allows your work to be shared all across the internet for alumni, students, administration, and people from different areas of the world to read while discovering more about what will be a part of the school’s history. It also improves your writing skills and journalism, too!
