Hi readers! I’m Laurie He, class of 2029. I’m currently a reporter and in my first year of writing for The Pinion. My interest in journalism started in the 5th grade after I read Diary of a Waitress: The Not-So-Glamorous Life of a Harvey Girl by Carolyn Meyer. So when I saw the Newswriting elective while signing up for classes during 8th grade, I automatically gravitated towards it. I usually like to write about things that I think will help people out, need more attention, or are the newest hot topic. When I’m not writing, I am a consumer of media myself! I enjoy reading thrillers and romance novels, as well as watching variety shows.
